About Me

Paula Meyer is a clinical psychotherapist with 35 years’ experience in a variety of clinical settings, including adolescent residential programs, a needs-based comprehensive health care center, outpatient mental and behavioral health clinics, and private practice.

Paula provides individual and family treatment to adolescents and adults, ages 12 and up. Utilizing a variety of therapeutic approaches(e.g. CBT, ACT, emotion-focused, insight-oriented, psychodynamic), Paula believes a positive working relationship is key in supporting clients as they identify their personal goals of treatment and mark progress toward those goals. This partnership helps clients find a variety of solutions to a range of interpersonal problems and improves self-awareness and communication. Her style is highly interactive, engaging clients in self-directed tasks for resolving unease and distress and to function more positively in their lives.

Paula prioritizes professional fluency and is an avid consumer of current clinical resources, which informs the treatment approaches and psychoeducational workshops she provides.  In the past few years she has focused her clinical attention more specifically on adult ADHD, anxiety, and emotional hardiness in children.

Specialty areas include ADHD, depression and anxiety, grief and loss, stress management, emotional regulation, spiritual issues, relationship boundaries, conflict resolution, academic challenges, parenting support and education, parent-child relationship issues, child development, family conflict, divorce and post-divorce adjustment, and career and life transitions.
