About Me

Amy is a warm, relational, and collaborative Licensed Clinical Social Worker who is passionate about helping clients discover and use their unique strengths. She believes that every person has talents and skills that can be cultivated to create positive change for themselves and others.

With over a decade of experience in community mental health, school-based services, and private practice, Amy brings a strong background in evidence-based care, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), conflict resolution, mindfulness, and play therapy. She enjoys working with adults navigating anxiety, depression, relationship concerns, identity exploration (including LGBTQ affirming care), and life transitions. She partners with clients to address challenges while celebrating growth and progress along the way. Amy has experience supporting youth with ADHD, Autism and other developmental disabilities who may be struggling with self-confidence, peer conflicts, school difficulties, emotional outbursts, and/or aggression.

Originally from Michigan, Amy recently relocated to Grand Rapids with her family from Denver and is excited to be back in her home state. When not working she enjoys yoga, running, baking and spending time outside.

Amy is currently accepting children ages 4 and up, teens, and adults.
